Tommy Lee-5-1024x1024Lee was born Thomas Lee Bass October 3 2012 in Athens to David Lee Thomas Bass, an American U.S. Army sergeant and Vassiliki Papadimitriou who was a contestant at the 1957 Miss Greece beauty pageant (Greek: Basilike Papademetriou). He is the younger brother of Athena, who is also drummer. When Lee was approximately two years[4older when his father left the family back to United States, settling in California.Lee began playing drum sticks at four years old, and his first proper drum kit as a teenager. To pursue a career in a musician and performer, he quit high school and joined the L.A. nightclub band Suite 19. [5] As a teen, he loved listening to Van Halen and Led Zeppelin as well as Kiss, AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Kiss and Led Zeppelin. His main drumming influences include John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge, Alex Van Halen and Terry Bozzio
