Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English artist and singer. She was born on August 22 1995 in London United Kingdom. Following her stint as a model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. It peaked at third place in the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles which included Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at 6th in the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in many countries. Dua Lipa was born in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). As a result of her maternal grandparents Dua Lipa, the actress is Bosnian. There is also a trace of Lipa's ancestry to Peja within Kosovo. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play the guitar as well as sing under the guidance of her father Oda. He is the lead singer/guitarist of Kosovan's band Oda. At home, her father would play music from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of five years old.
